Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and crime reporter for WCBD-TV. Her articles from Charleston, about how the Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today.
